About Our Client:

Addison Group is hiring a Customer Returns Specialist for one of our clients in the manufacturing and biotechnology space. This organization supports highly technical laboratory and industrial equipment and is experiencing continued growth, creating the need for additional operational support.

Job Description:

The Customer Returns Specialist supports return and repair operations by coordinating customer requests, creating work orders, and ensuring accurate system documentation. This role is well-suited for someone with corporate customer service experience who is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable handling a steady volume of daily customer interactions.

This is a long-term contract opportunity, with many contractors extending beyond one year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer equipment returns and enter detailed information into internal systems
  • Create and manage work orders for repairs, calibrations, and certifications
  • Communicate with customers regarding return authorizations, repair charges, and approvals
  • Coordinate with internal departments and third-party vendors to support timely resolutions
  • Review documentation related to repairs and calibrations for accuracy and compliance
  • Track turnaround times and follow up on outstanding vendor repairs and invoices
  • Identify and document process issues or quality concerns
  • Handle approximately 25 inbound/outbound customer interactions per day

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of corporate customer service experience
  • Strong data entry and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AS400 is a strong plus
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
