About Your Business Area/Department:

Travel Seller Media, also known as GDS Media, is a legacy part of Amadeus. Amadeus started as a Global Distribution System (GDS) company. So, we've been here since the beginning! The team in San Jose works closely with colleagues in Maitland (Orlando), Schaumburg (Chicago), Merida, Toluca, Dallas, Barcelona, and Singapore. We take pride in knowing that we are helping our hospitality partners generate revenue through using innovating and strategic advertising campaigns.

Summary of the role:

The Travel Seller Media Strategist is a client-facing role responsible for managing the overall health of their client portfolio. The Travel Seller Strategist will create a strategic media plan using our best in class data and be responsible for a flawless onboarding experience for clients. The Travel Seller Media Strategist will have excellent communication skills and be responsible for guiding the client through various milestones. This individual must have a strong understanding of marketing principles, client retention with knowledge of the Global Distribution Systems and hospitality a plus. This Strategist must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Responsibilities:

45% - Communications with clients through both calls and emails and occasional face to face meetings, presentation of results, discussing strategic options for the campaigns and overall relationship management of the account. Also responsible for maintaining and securing client retention.

45% - Management and co-ordination of assigned campaigns. Implement data-driven strategies to reach client and company goals. Creative campaign management and strategies for each client across portfolio, taking into account knowledge of client, data from campaigns, tacit knowledge and BI data

10% - Working with colleagues to explore new opportunities in GDS media and knowledge share

About the ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field of study; may include Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, Business Intelligence, Communications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant media experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years in a client facing role, with a demonstrated passion for innovation, strategy, thinking outside of the box and establishing positive customer relationships, every time.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with successful management of projects through organization, multi-tasking, prioritization, communication, and time management skills.

  • Good understanding of market trends and hospitality KPIs. Media experience in the Hospitality industry a major advantage.

  • Ability to evaluate data trends, understand and evaluate budget/results, upsells, ROAS, margins and KPIs and other numeric data effectively.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to understand the statistics & troubleshoot the data to identify the way forward.

  • Need to stay updated, ways of optimizing campaigns and market trends.

  • This is a hybrid position and would require you to be in our San Jose office 50% of the time.
