Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Locums Job in Virginia

State Hospital is seeking a Psychiatric NP for a full-time locum opportunity treating adult inpatient psychiatric patients. Experience with serious mental illness is required; forensic experience preferred.

Highlights
• Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
• No weekends, holidays, or call
• 3-month assignment with extension potential
• Adult inpatient population including acute, chronic, and forensic patients
• Immediate start available pending credentialing

Responsibilities
• Psychiatric evaluations and treatment planning
• Admissions, discharges, and medication management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Timely EMR documentation

Requirements
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Autonomous NP preferred or 3+ years of NP experience
• Experience with adult inpatient psychiatry
• Active AHA BLS or ACLS certification
• Forensic experience preferred
