A little about this position:
This position is responsible for all repairs and maintenance of chair lifts, gondolas, and surface lifts complying with service and safety standards in accordance with industry and state policies and procedures both independently and while under the supervision of a qualified technician. This is both a proactive and reactive position- requiring team members to take appropriate preventative measures to prevent equipment failure, while also being ready to jump into action when a lift goes down. This position follows a 4-10s schedule, and you may be required to work weekends, holidays, evenings, at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
Essential Job Duties (including but not limited to):
  • Work with all operations departments to make sure lifts are all running safely and efficiently.
  • Be familiar location of all ski lifts and travel routes on the mountain. Know how to operate the lift controls, run lift on auxiliary or evacuation diesels.
  • Perform daily pre-operation and operational inspections of ski lifts for safe operation.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Climb lift towers to inspect, diagnose, adjust, and repair or replace components at extreme heights in all weather conditions.
  • Repair, remove and/or replace mechanical parts of lifts as necessary, both on hill and in repair shop.
  • Must have the ability to trouble shoot, diagnose, and repair or replace ski lift components.
  • Maintain service records and documentation.
  • Must be able to competently and safely operate a snowmobile and ATV.

Candidate Preferences and Requirements:
Preferred Skills/Certifications:
  • 2 year Trade School a plus.
  • 3-4 years of mechanical experience.
  • Level II magnetic particle NDT certified.
  • Riggers/Signal Person Certification Card.
  • OSHA 10 card.
  • Fork Lift/Telehandler Certification.
  • Electrical Experience.
  • Welding Experience.

Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of lift maintenance experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Can learn and perform all basic maintenance on Doppelmayr and Yan lift mechanical systems.
  • Basic understanding of A.N.S.I. B77.1-2022.
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic system experience.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to further develop skills, abilities and knowledge on their own.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Be able to work flexible work schedules and long hours to complete emergency repairs.
  • Must be willing to work at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
  • Provide own set of basic hand and power tools.
  • Must have a neat and clean appearance in compliance with company grooming standards.
  • Must be capable of standing or walking for more than 50% if 10 hour shift.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift, push, and pull 100lbs or more.
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull 50 lbs or more.

Pay rate: $28.57-$32.51
