Job description

Love’s Alternative Energy’s highly competitive and fast-growing internship program offers students meaningful opportunities to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of our alternative fueling solutions business. Participants develop valuable skills and industry knowledge that extend far beyond the classroom while learning the standards, expectations, and professional etiquette of a corporate environment. At Love’s, we are committed to investing in the next generation of talent by providing mentorship, real-world experience, and opportunities that help shape students’ future careers.

 

 BASIC PURPOSE: The internship program is based out of Love’s Alternative Energy’s headquarters in Houston, TX. This role is designed to fully immerse students in the day-to-day activities of an alternative fueling solutions company. The program starts with an orientation where Summer Interns learn about our culture, our people, and the different business lines at Love’s Alternative Energy.

After training, Summer Interns will be placed across multiple business groups. Potential assignments include CNG, hydrogen fueling, RNG, project management, operations and risk, and others. Summer Interns will be tasked with real responsibilities related to different functions of the business.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Alternative Fueling Station Project Management
  • Renewable Natural Gas Business Development
  • Compressed Natural Gas Business Development
  • Other duties as assigned based on business needs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Currently enrolled in four-year university program, a sophomore level or above (pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, MIS, Engineering or related field).

Experience:

  • Past Internship experience a plus but not necessary.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Skills:

  • Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, general computer knowledge, and basic accounting knowledge
  • Soft Skills: Keen attention to detail, strong oral and verbal communication skills, organization skills, critical thinker, and team player

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
