Under direction from the Alterations Manager, the Alterations Clerical is responsible for supporting the Alterations Department to ensure timely and efficient daily operations of the workroom while providing customer service and helping to maintain customer relationships and working effectively with other team members within the store.

  • 2 years of relevant experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Verbal & Written communication skills: phone, email and interactions with customers and Associates are effective & professional.

  • Ability to handle office equipment

  • Knowledge of Fashion Industry including garment construction, fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise

  • Knowledge of ordering supplies and scheduling

  • Fashion Design degree preferred but not required

As Clerical Alterations Associate, You Will:

  • Ability to assist with fittings, sewing, pressing, spotting garments and stock repairs

  • Ability to assume full responsibility of the workroom in absence of an Alterations manager.

  • Monitor and ensure alterations tickets/tasks/receipts/waived fees/marks are accurate and comply with company standards

  • Utilizes daily Alterations reports to ensure timely completion of the garments

  • Inspects garments to ensure quality completion of all tasks

  • Assists daily to maintain stock repair standards

  • Able to ring Alterations

  • Assist with month end alterations reports
