Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities
Supports the sale of natural gas for heating, cooking, drying, air conditioning and other applications. Works directly with builders, architects, developers, consulting engineers and other energy decision makers to persuade them to specify natural gas in their projects and to facilitate the most cost effective gas installation;
Utilizes company data systems to check key data and set-up the project in WG new business software. Collaborates and coordinates with key WG employees and outside parties to ensure the timely and accurate processing of new business projects.
Meets with customers at offsite locations to review construction requirements.
Proactively tracks progress of jobs and facilitates as needed.
Acts as liaison between the Company and customer regarding installation scheduling of underground facilities and meter sets.
Advises customers about residential, commercial, and industrial gas appliance technology and competitive fuels and equipment.
Provides cost factors, rates, service, equipment and technical data to market principals;
Analyzes customers needs, selecting specific gas equipment in compliance the job construction, plumbing, electrical and gas fitting codes covering ten jurisdictions and sells these applications to energy principals, builders, engineers, architects in specifying gas for their projects.
Acts as a resource on rates, service costs, applications, and new business policies and procedures;
Reviews site plans, plats, and helps prepare and review cost analysis for new business;
Prepares daily field call reports regarding promotional activity such as appointments with builders, developers, engineers, etc., monitors permits and Dodge reports for construction activity;
Responsible for accuracy in new business job set up, cost estimates, contracts and documents
Provides market feedback.
Demonstrates knowledge of company processes, policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related area plus 18 months related sales experience, preferable in the construction or, HVAC industries;
High School Diploma/GED Plus five (5) years of customer facing construction or HVAC experience in a sales setting.
Six (6) month probationary period with successful evaluation. Required
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, WMIS, CIS, Smallworld.
Strong professional customer service and verbal and written communication skills are required.
Adaptable to utilize systems and software packages as determined by the Company.
Must successfully pass a Writing Skills Evaluation Assessment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $31.91 to $49.40 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
