SEMCO - Business Applications Administrator
The Business Applications Administrator is a fully qualified individual contributor responsible for the administration, configuration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise business applications. This role applies in-depth functional and technical expertise to independently manage system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive application improvements. The position partners cross-functionally to enhance business processes and serves as a technical resource and mentor to other team members.
Application Administration & Support
  • Independently manage and support enterprise business applications.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex system and integration issues using structured troubleshooting techniques.

  • Serve as a functional and technical resource for team members and business users.

Configuration & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze business requirements and implement system enhancements aligned to best practices.

  • Identify and lead improvements to workflows, automation, and system performance.

  • Evaluate system capabilities and recommend solutions that improve operational outcomes.

Testing, Upgrades & Change Management
  • Lead portions of application upgrades, deployments, and testing efforts.

  • Validate system changes to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.

  • Support change management processes including documentation, approvals, and implementation.

Business & Vendor Collaboration
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate operational needs into system solutions.

  • Work directly with vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives impacting multiple systems or teams.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and user guides.

  • Provide guidance and informal mentorship to less experienced team members.

Project & Process Support
  • Participate in or lead components of application-related projects and integrations.

  • Assist in process improvement and system optimization initiatives.

  • Monitor system usage and performance to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

  • Experience resolving complex application and integration issues

  • Strong understanding of business processes and system interdependencies

  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives and system improvements

  • Preferred: experience supporting applications such as OpenGrid, OnBase, Selectron IVR, enQuesta, or similar enterprise business systems.

We offer a competitive salary range of $83,200 to $120,550 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
