As an Underwriting Specialist, you'll play a critical role in evaluating and managing risk across multiple personal insurance lines. You'll leverage your analytical skills, pricing knowledge, and underwriting expertise to make sound decisions that protect both our customers and the business-while delivering a best in class customer experience.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and make underwriting decisions across multiple personal insurance lines using established risk management guidelines and pricing models
  • Analyze policy information to assess risk eligibility and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Apply knowledge of rate plans, underwriting guidelines, and billing processes to deliver accurate, timely decisions
  • Respond to complex customer and agent inquiries related to policy status, billing, and underwriting decisions with professionalism and care
  • Identify potential fraud risks (internal and external) and take appropriate action
  • Leverage market insights to support product, pricing, and risk management improvements
  • Partner with team members and leadership to meet service level goals and enhance operational performance
  • Support training initiatives by identifying knowledge gaps and contributing to team development
  • Continuously evaluate processes, recommend improvements, and collaborate on solutions to drive efficiency and quality
  • Represent the Allstate brand with professionalism, delivering exceptional service in every interaction

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 22.21 - 35.27 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
