Job Overview

Allmed Staffing seeks a certified Optician to support the Martinsburg VA Medical Center. The Optician supports Veterans through optical dispensing services inside the VA Eye Clinic. The role focuses on fitting and adjusting eyewear prescribed by VA providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterans with eyeglass frame selection
• Measure pupillary distance and segment height
• Fit and adjust eyeglasses for proper alignment and comfort
• Verify prescriptions from VA optometrists and ophthalmologists
• Perform minor eyeglass repairs such as screw replacement and frame adjustments
• Document services in the VA electronic health record system
• Maintain optical equipment and dispensing tools
• Provide professional customer service to Veteran patients

Qualifications

• American Board of Opticianry certification preferred
• State optician license if required by state regulations
• Optical dispensing experience in clinic or retail setting
