 Jeffco has a brand new 2025 KUV Plumbing Service Van looking for a Journeyman Service Plumber Foreman Position:  Seeking a person that poses the Trade Knowledge and Leadership Skills to work alongside and oversee Journeyman Service Plumbers with and growing Service Plumbing Company in the South Fayette Township and all surrounding communities. *** NOTE:  Here is the details of the Journey Service Plumbers that working Service Plumber Foreman will be overseeing and coaching.

Position Title: Journeyman Service Plumber
 
Position Expectations 
 
1.       The Service Plumber position is designed for an individual with drive and great customer service and plumbing service sales skills. The candidate must possess:
a.        Plumbing Aptitude – This is not an entry level position and requires the individual be well-versed in all aspects of Allegheny County plumbing code. Journeyman Plumbers MUST be experienced in all forms of Service Plumbing work and tasks.  Apprentices are supplied for jobs that require, but the expectation is that the Service Plumber is capable of working independently without oversight. Workmanship must be to the standard of the company.
b.       Technology Competence – utilize iPads/iPhones and accompanying Service Titan Software for all job duties including clocking-in/out, generating estimates, customer communication, and payment collection 
c.        Sales Experience – present customers with plumbing recommendations in a professional manner highlighting various plans and their respective differences. Offering clients financing and collecting payments on-site using Bluetooth card readers.
d.       Weekend Availability – On call schedules are generated with input from all staff members to accommodate life away from work.
e.        The position reports to the shop daily to receive and review daily Plumbing Service work priorities. Our goal is to hire an individual with the initiative and expertise necessary to complete daily plumbing service calls, review the work, establish the required plumbing repairs, prepare multiple options with estimates, present and sell work to the customer, complete the approved work and collect payment for the services completed. The position’s end of shift is at the shop to turn in all paperwork to the office, clean and organize the company van for the next day’s work priorities.
 
Pre-Employment Requirements – To Be Completed Prior to First Day of Work 
 
1.       Pass DOT Approved Drug and Alcohol testing at a designated screening facility 
2.       Provide proof of a legal Driver’s License without restrictions. 
a.        Insurance company will conduct a formal check of driving record and license validity 
3.       Provide three (3) personal references and current employers contact information 
 
Salary Range / Benefits
 
1.       TBD - $35.00 to $50.00 / hour depending on candidate qualifications 
a.        Annual review with raises

Daily Duties and Responsibilities
 
1.       Typical Shift (8:00 am – 4:30 pm)
a.        Report to the shop at 8:00a.m. each day prepared and in uniform
b.       Start time can be earlier or later depending upon specific needs of project/customer 
c.        Commute to and from work is unpaid
d.       Mandatory 30-minute personal break per shift (included in shift duration) 
e.        Review and coordinate assigned daily work with office staff
f.        Prepare and organize assigned company vehicle
g.       Contact first customer and dispatch to the first service call
2.       Running a service call
a.        Collect service call fee upon arrival at the customer’s address and review service call symptoms with customer.
b.       Review the customer’s existing plumbing issue and identify the problem 
c.        Prepare good – better- best plumbing repair options with all the labor and materials included
d.       Review pricing options with the Supervisor and then present to the customer for approval.  Establish with Supervisor if work will be completed at the Service Call or with a scheduled return Service Call.
e.        Present to customer, if approved collect customer signature and deposit
f.        If the work was approved to be completed while at the Service Call, complete the work, clean-up work site, review the completed work with customer and collect final payment.
g.       Call Supervisor prior to dispatching to next Service Call to review any new work priorities
h.       Repeat the above service call steps as needed based on the Daily Plumbing Service priorities
3.       End of Day
a.        Every attempt is made to coordinate and schedule plumbing service calls, so we end each day at the shop by 5:30p.m.  ALL OVERTIME must be approved by office
b.       Company Vans are to have the interiors organized and prepared for next day 
c.       Company Vans are to be fueled as needed at the GET GO Stations with the WEX FUEL CARDS and drove through the Bridgeville – Get Go ProWash car wash as needed, minimally each week to maintain professional appearance and promote companies’ quality standards.
d.       Call Supervisor prior to the end of the workday to make sure all customer service needs are addressed as promised.
e.        Clock out and End Day at shop at 4:30p.m. assuming all company’s scheduled work priorities are completed

Employer Responsibilities
 
1.       Provide the proper training and orientation for the Service Titan Dispatching and Scheduling platform 
2.       Schedule and provide each employee work hours each pay period, not be confused as “specific plumbing work” preferred by each employee
3.       Schedule and provide annul employee performance review 
 
Journeyman Service Plumber – List of Experience Required - but not limited to:
 
Ø  Sanitary Sewer Clearing / Video Inspection / Locating / High Pressure Jetter Cleaning
Ø  Service and Install all forms of Plumbing Fixtures and Faucets
Ø  Installation and Service of both Tank and Tankless Water Heater.
Ø  Installation and repairs to all types of Hot and Cold-Water lines. 
Ø  Installation and repairs to all types of Toilets and Toilet Floor Flanges. 
Ø  Installation and repairs to all types of Garbage Disposals including the electrical connection.
Ø  Installation and repairs to all types of Kitchen Dishwashers including the electrical connection.
Ø  Installation and repairs to all types of both main and house Natural Gas Lines.
Ø  Installation and repairs to all types of Kitchens and Bathroom Sinks and Vanities.
Ø  Installation and repairs to all types of exterior and interior water lines.
Ø  Installation and repairs to all types of Well Water Pump and Systems Controls.
Ø  Installation and repairs to all types of Water Filtration / Softeners / Conditioning systems. 
Ø  Ability to perform behind the walls and ceiling Leak Locate issues.
Ø  Backflow Device Installation, Testing and Recertification.
