Position Summary:

Join a highly technical analytical team in a dynamic work environment as a member of the Analytical, Formulation and Stability (AFS) department and participate in contracted client analytical programs for monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, and peptides as a Business Intelligence Analyst. The Business Intelligence Analyst will provide support to their department and/or the Global CAPS organization by conducting data analysis as it relates to financial performance, metric tracking, capacity modelling, financial forecasting, adherence to budget and portfolio analyses. Role will work closely with departmental leadership in preparation of annual budget and mid-term plan and coordinate with other departments as needed (i.e. Finance, PMO, Business Development).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with contractual and financial execution of projects, including proposals, change orders, revenue recognition, and monthly budget review. Includes review of costs and identifying errors and/or misallocations for spend and working with finance to resolve and support of CapEx forecasting and management.
  • Support business development new business forecasting, capacity planning, program on-boarding, and deliverable delivery. May support drafting or review of proposals and change orders and/or tracking and monitoring of scopes of work.
  • Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues. May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.
  • Special cross-group/functional projects
  • Champions, maintains, and publishes key departmental performance metrics
  • Assists development of annual budget and MTP
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum requirement BS/BA degree and 3-5 years of experience; MBA and/or PMP preferred.
  • Interpersonal soft skills and ability to work well with a diverse group of contributors.
  • Business acumen & long-term planning viewpoint, ability to problem solve and set priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, coordination of cross-functional teams.
  • High integrity and personal responsibility, action oriented.
  • Excellent written & oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of biologics industry is preferred but not required.
