Position Summary

The Certified Commercial Electrician will perform electrical installations and trouble shooting. Will aid and take lead on high stake projects. They will be part of a production driven team to provide day-to-day activities of one or more unit line operations and may designate the unit lead as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

·         Provides weekly project status report to clients and executive management team.

• Oversee and direct electrical projects from conception to completion ensuring compliance with company safety policy, and National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings.
• Prepares work area for installation of equipment.
• Installs various electrical components.
• Reviews timecards on a daily basis for accuracy and approval.
• Connects wiring and equipment as per National Electrical Code and job specification.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified.
• Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawings or plans.
• State Journeyman Electrician Certification is a requirement in states where required or considered highly desirable in states without this requirement
• A proven track record of delivering safety and efficiency within projects in a timely manner.
• Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Minimum 5 years relevant electrical experience (industrial, commercial and/or institutional setting).
• Minimum 2 years of experience with job electrical project management.
• Strong knowledge of State Electric Code
• Certified Electrician license is required
• Knowledge of the electrical(solar industry+) project scheduling, take-offs, change orders, equipment, and means and methods required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents including plan set, specifications and contract.

• Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
• Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, ), respirator when required.
• Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and weekend shifts as needed.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.
• Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
• Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
