Description of Job Duties
The Room Attendant will be responsible for servicing guest rooms, hallways, and other areas as assigned while making sure to follow a comprehensive cleaning process throughout the hotel and property in accordance with Company standards.
Core Functions
1. Adhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our colleagues and guests.
2. Clean guest rooms to Company and Forbes standards including but not limited to making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms completely, wiping down walls, and taking out trash.
3. Restock cart with cleaning and sanitization supplies such as cleaning products, mops, wipes, and brooms. Replenish chemical bottles.
4. Utilize Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines for completing the job safely.
5. Clean rooms within the minutes-per-room guideline established by the Executive Housekeeper and Director of Rooms. Approximately 12-15 rooms assigned per shift.
6. Turn in all items left in guestroom to Manager or Security immediately. Report any missing/found articles or damage that is in need of immediate attention to the Executive Housekeeper.
7. Maintain complete security of master room key. Return the key at the end of shift. Never leave property with the master room key.
8. Follow Company policy for room amenities, including, but not limited to, laundry bags and slips, proper placement and amount of hangers, blankets, pillows, and bath products.
9. Conduct all duties with great attention to detail, for example, checking under beds, dusting lights and switches, inspecting for any tears, rips, stains and reporting any damages to Engineering.
10. Assist with laundry as needed.
11. PM Shift Room Attendants are responsible for up to 14 credits of turndown rooms.
12. Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel, and communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
13. Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
14. Other duties as assigned.
