What are Aliefs?

Aliefs are automatic or habitual belief-like attitudes that influence our behaviors and reactions, often occurring without conscious thought. Unlike beliefs, which are reflective and can be articulated, aliefs are more basic and may even contradict our stated beliefs. For example, someone may believe flying is safe but still feel anxious during a flight due to an underlying alief. The concept is used in psychology and philosophy to explain why people sometimes act against their conscious beliefs.
