Job description

The Director of Integrated Marketing will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives to drive brand growth and market share for Jägermeister and Teremana. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and as a part of the Marketing Leadership Team, this role will play a critical part in bridging brand and commercial strategy to ensure short term sales needs are met while keeping long term health of the brand in mind. The Director will partner closely with the Commercial Leadership Team providing insight and alignment across brand and commercial priorities. Day-to-day the Director will manage a team of three, Director of POS and Design, Commercial Marketing Manager- MJUS Portfolio, Commercial Marketing Manager- National Accounts; providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the team's success in achieving marketing objectives.

Requirements
Strategic Planning & Execution:
  • Develop and lead commercial marketing strategies aligned to overall business objectives and brand strategy, leveraging data-driven insights, segmentation, and brand standards.
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive channel strategy, with full ownership of implementation, optimization, and results.
  • Drive strategic planning and execution timelines across the commercial marketing team to ensure programs and tools are delivered on time and enable achievement of commercial KPIs.
  • Direct the shopper marketing agency partnership, driving the development of high-impact tentpole programs, promotions, POS tools, and channel-specific tactics that support sales growth and consumer relevance. Working in conjunction with brand team to ensure consistent and effective brand messaging across all trade touch points.
  • Oversee marketing support for national account on- and off-premise teams, including RFPs, innovation launches, and applicable programs to secure distribution, placements, and incremental wins.
  • Support innovation agenda across portfolio by ensuring new products, LTOs, and VAPs are activated through clear, aligned commercial programs, tools, and tactics.
  • Monitor and analyze brand and program performance, using insights to refine strategies and maximize ROI.
  • Oversee the commercial marketing team's partnership with a third-party shopper marketing agency to deliver all program concepts, tactics, key visuals, and tools on time, while actively managing scope, quality, and budget.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Sales, Innovation, and Finance to ensure initiatives are fully integrated, prioritized, and aligned with goals.

Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Set clear performance objectives, provide regular feedback, and ensure the team has the necessary resources and training to succeed.
  • Encourage a culture of creativity and data-driven decision marking within the team.
  • Ensure clear communication updates and priorities are provided on an ongoing basis via written communication, 1:1s, and status calls.

Customer & Market Insights:
  • Leverage market research, consumer insights, and sales data to identify key trends, growth opportunities, and risks within the spirits category.
  • Partner cross functionally with BI, Commercial, and Consumer Insights teams to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners to deepen understanding of market dynamics and evolving customer needs.
  • Apply insights to inform commercial marketing strategies, ensuring campaigns are targeted, relevant, and effective with priority audiences.

Budget Management:
  • Manage the commercial marketing budget (DMC & GMC), ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing the impact of marketing spend.
  • Track and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet financial targets.

Compliance and Industry Knowledge:
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with industry regulations and company policies, particularly those related to alcohol marketing.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive activity, and regulatory changes, using this knowledge to inform marketing strategies.

Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
    • 10+ years of experience in commercial marketing, with a proven track record of success in the spirits, beverage, or consumer goods industry.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading a marketing team.
    • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Deep understanding of brand management, customer segmentation, and market research methodologies.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on results.
