In the role of Brand Design Manager working in Chicago, IL, you understand design as a critical growth and business driver, using your expertise to orchestrate effective and aesthetic design solutions in partnership with Marketing and Agencies. Your creative proficiency is applied in service to brand objectives, creating a partnership that generates productivity efficiencies. Your understanding of corporate culture and critical thinking empowers you to facilitate problem solving and operate efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced setting.
What You’ll Be Brewing:

Strategic Capability and Design Expertise

  • Blends understanding of cultural context, competitive landscape, consumer insights and business strategy specific to assigned brands to advise which creative ideas are on-brand and on-brief.
  • Applies design training and experience to help guide creative assessment and drive optimal aesthetic and effective creative solutions.
  • Brand World development process lead, creative director and perennial brand steward
  • Execution of day-to-day brand asset management, including packaging design and general oversight of correct and consistent brand application across all consumer touch points.
  • Cross-functional collaboration, helping solve design challenges across a variety of formats while maintaining consistency throughout.

People, Process and Project Management

  • Facilitates open dialogue with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Project Management, Sales Planning, Legal, R&D and creative agencies to ensure that budgets, timelines and resources are in alignment throughout the course of a project.
  • Partners with Brand Managers to decide which agency is best suited for the work based on talent and cost considerations.
  • Guides the crafting of the Creative Brief as well as all consequent creative reviews and presentations to ensure focused design solutions are based on objectives.
  • Partners with Graphics Specialist to evaluate projects at each stage of production with a critical eye for maintaining design intent through production, considering effective and appropriate use of color and substrate limitations.
  • Responsible for identifying timelines and tracking progress for the design development of all packaging projects.


Key Ingredients:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience with 8+ years as a hands-on designer
  • Strong presentation skills as well as emotional intelligence and professional communication are essential, as well as a high level of collaboration, process management, business partnering skills and integrity
  • You have experience in the alcohol/beverage industry or in consumer-packaged goods
  • You love a challenge – you complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
  • You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome
  • You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments
  • You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow

At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.


Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $96,600.00 - $126,700.00 (posting salary range) + 15target short term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).


The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
