Job description

Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections company, is now looking for a Full-Time Site Worker to join our team in Fairbanks, AK!

You will be responsible for doing general facility maintenance for 13 of our transfer sites. You will be expected to maintain the cleanliness of the transfer sites, keeping them clean and free from debris by shoveling and raking trash.

Customer service experience is a plus, as you will be greeting, directing, and educating customers of safety rules onsite and restrictions in a polite and courteous manner. Other duties may include removal of snow throughout transfer sites and entryways, operating chainsaws, snow blowers, pressure washers, and performing other duties as assigned.

You will be driving a company vehicle and must possess a satisfactory driving record.

The starting pay is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. The schedule will be 5 days of the week from Monday to Sunday with a chance you will work weekends.

An ideal candidate will possess:
A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
1 year of work experience, preferably in a labor-type position.
The ability to continually lift throughout an 8-hour shift.
Mechanical ability is a plus.
