Job description

Description: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities. He performs building of new equipment and other miscellaneous tasks as needed. Performs preventive maintenance tasks as per generated work orders.

Performs corrective maintenance tasks as requested. Works with engineering to build new manufacturing equipment. Installs or moves equipment as requested by Engineering.

Wire electrical enclosures Fabricates replacement parts using machine shop equipment. Performs miscellaneous building/facilities maintenance. Complies with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Other duties as required by Supervisor. Requirements: Proven experience as Maintenance Technician or relevant position. Technical Capacity to execute equipment repairs and maintenance Good analytical critical thinking.

Must have initiative and be results driven. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have demonstrated leadership ability. Education & Work Experience Minimum of three years or more of experience in mechanical and/or electric maintenance required.

High School or relevant technical professional experience. Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee will often work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high requiring safety equipment to be utilized.

Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Candidate must be able to perform the physical responsibilities of the job utilizing arms, hands, and fingers to perform complex functions of manufacturing parts and performing other duties of the job; e.g., standing, sitting, walking throughout the facility and stairs, bending, squatting, and kneeling, etc. Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
