Airport Operations Intern
Saint Louis Downtown Airport Internship 20.00 - 20.00 (Annually)
Job Summary
This position offers challenging assignments to students, enhancing their understanding of airport administration, operational planning, financial systems, compliance research, and strategic project execution. This position will support St. Louis Downtown Airport leadership with administrative, financial, operational, and strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce backlog, and advance long-term airport goals.
Paid internship, maximum of 20 hours a week.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with administrative and operational support initiatives for St. Louis Downtown Airport.
  • Update and maintain lease revenue line items in Oracle for improved budget accuracy and financial tracking.
  • Organize, audit, and maintain airport lease records across Oracle and Excel systems.
  • Support website cleanup, content updates, and digital resource improvements.
  • Assist with revisions and updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including personnel and contact information accuracy.
  • Research and assist in the development of Safety Management System (SMS) frameworks and compliance initiatives.
  • Conduct research on airport policies, rates, and fee structures to support strategic benchmarking and operational improvements.
  • Support planning and preparedness efforts for full-scale emergency response drills.
  • Participate in special projects that advance airport efficiency, strategic planning, and regulatory preparedness.
  • Participate in team and departmental meetings.
