Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Liaison Engineer at PSA Airlines will be the Subject Matter Expert in resolving technical discrepancies on the aircraft in the day-to-day line operation to ensure that PSA can operate the CRJ-700/900 as safety and reliably as possible.
Job Responsibilities
  • Issuing repairs and technical Engineering guidance on CRJ-700/900 aircraft during day of operations to ensure safe, timely and compliant operation of Large Transport Category aircraft within a 121 Airline Operation
  • Translate technical requirements between OEM MHIRJ and PSA's frontline maintenance operation
  • Provide technical Engineering guidance for aircraft out of service (AOS) aircraft within PSA's fleet as needed.
  • Preparing for and providing on-site recovery of aircraft that have both major and minor structural damage.
  • Perform Engineering evaluation of all real time Safety events (ie Hard Landings, Severe Turbulence etc..) and deploying corrective action as needed.
  • Knowledge of Code of Regulations (CFRs), airworthiness design and substantiation criteria, aircraft and equipment design and operational characteristics.
  • Ability to interpret complex and technical Engineering and OEM documents.
  • Assist with building Temporary Repair Requirements within the M&E system.
  • Partner and Collaborate with all facets of the airline to achieve superior safety and reliability results.
  • Provide 24/7 technical assistance to company personnel to increase the technical competency of the frontline AMT.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Information
Supervisory Responsibility: This is not a supervisory position.
Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegate to Director of Engineering and Technical Services.
Authorities: None
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
