Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst Sales Operations (Ops) & Analysis is a thought leader who focuses on optimizing airline sales activities to drive incremental revenue and increase market share. This role is responsible for building and maintaining a series of intelligence tools supporting JetBlue's growth in the Northeast Alliance, International and Domestic Travel Agency Strategies, and Corporate Sales. The Senior Analyst works with our leaders from across the Commercial Teams reporting on sales efforts and effectiveness of strategies implemented.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Leverages data from multiple internal and external sources to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on sales performance
  • Financial Modeling and Analysis: Measures Sales' added financial value to the JetBlue route network through P&L analysis, revenue incrementality studies, etc. 
  • Reporting: Designs, automates, enhances and maintains automated reports and tools. Ensures their dissemination across JetBlue
  • Database Development: Builds, structures and develops the department's internal data warehouse (SQL) and its linked dashboards via visualization tools  
  • Internal Project Management: Optimizes commercial and operational performance through diverse projects with internal stakeholder groups (such as Airports, Revenue Management, Airline Planning, IT, Customer Support, Customer Experience, Revenue Accounting, etc.) 
  • Provide valuable feedback on strategy relative to events, advertising, and projects utilizing data and knowledge of the corporate sales environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business analytics, science, mathematics, or business field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in a role utilizing excel SQL
  • One year of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or Lookr
  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel through an onsite, computer-based work sample
  • Highly motivated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • One (1) year of experience in an airline or travel agency in revenue management, sales, accounting, or marketing
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with Python or R
  • Familiarity with data platforms and applications such as Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Redshift, Airflow, GitHub 
  • Technology and airline reservation systems knowledge, specifically as related to indirect sales channels, such as Sabre, GetThere, and Concur
  • Full understanding of the lifecycle of a PNR, from booking and ticketing, to voluntary and involuntary changes, check-in and post-departure settlement 
  • Experience with salesforce.com or any other CRM platform

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards 
  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)) 
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation: 

  • The base pay range for this position is between $88,000.00 and $132,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
