Job description

GOJET AIRLINES – CORPORATE PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

LOCATION – ST. LOUIS, MO - HQ



The Payroll Administrator is responsible for accurately and timely processing payroll for GoJet Airlines employees while ensuring compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and federal, state, and local regulations. This position maintains payroll records, audits payroll transactions, processes employee pay changes and deductions, resolves payroll-related inquiries, and collaborates with accounting and operational departments to ensure payroll accuracy. The Payroll Administrator also supports payroll reporting, tax compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes and employee service.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Any exceptions to the following must be approved by the Interviewing Manager.

  • Minimum of two years of payroll experience
  • U.S. Citizen or have legal right to accept employment in the United States
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Data entry and ability to type at least 45 wpm
  • 10-key calculator by touch
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must have the ability to prioritize work
  • Must be capable of working and performing independently of direct supervision
  • Dedication to the highest level of Customer Service is mandatory
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented with previous administrative handling required
  • Dependability is important; must have an outstanding attendance record and performance in current position
  • Must be willing to work efficiently in stressful situations and meet deadlines
  • Willing to work non-standard hours on occasion; must be flexible with work schedule
  • Required to relocate to the St. Louis area

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ADP Workforce Now/ADP Reporting
  • ADP Essential Time
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Two or more years of college education


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Included in position but not limited to:

  • Review payrolls pre- and post-transmittal for accuracy and completeness
  • Verify payroll complies with policies, and all pay changes and deductions are processed in accordance with the appropriate source documents
  • Verify the accuracy of data entry into ADP
  • Process multiple payrolls and related projects each month
  • Adjust payroll errors and respond to employee concerns
  • Respond to notifications from state agencies or others regarding former employment and unemployment claims 
  • Escalate potential service issues to Payroll Manager
  • Coordinate daily work activities and assigned work, organize and prioritize workload; monitor status of work in progress, and review completed work
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
