Position Summary

Davcor Aviation Services is seeking experienced A&P Aircraft Mechanics - Flight Controls to support commercial aircraft maintenance operations in Everett, WA.

This position is ideal for highly skilled maintenance professionals with previous commercial MRO experience and extensive knowledge of aircraft flight control systems. Successful candidates will possess experience performing flight control rigging, operational checks, component removal and installation, and troubleshooting on Boeing and Airbus aircraft while maintaining strict compliance with FAA regulations and customer quality standards.


Pay Range

$38.00 - $48.00 per hour DOE

Competitive compensation based on experience, aircraft qualifications, certifications, and demonstrated flight control expertise.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, repair, modification, and installation of aircraft flight control systems.

  • Remove, install, troubleshoot, and adjust flight control components and assemblies.

  • Perform flight control rigging and operational checks in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

  • Execute maintenance tasks on Boeing 737, Boeing 767, and Airbus aircraft platforms.

  • Develop repair schemes utilizing Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), engineering drawings, and approved technical data.

  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.

  • Conduct functional and operational tests to verify airworthiness and system performance.

  • Accurately document maintenance actions and complete required paperwork.

  • Maintain accurate labor charging and job tracking records.

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality personnel, engineering teams, and fellow technicians regarding work progress and technical issues.

  • Complete required training, OJT documentation, and company compliance requirements.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Support overtime and schedule flexibility as required to meet operational demands.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum QualificationsRequired Experience
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.

  • Previous commercial aircraft MRO experience required.

  • Demonstrated experience performing flight control rigging and operational checks.

  • Experience with flight control component removal and installation.

  • Experience supporting Boeing 737, Boeing 767, and Airbus aircraft.

  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and technical data.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations and industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Heavy maintenance experience.

  • Modification and reconfiguration experience.

  • Multi-fleet commercial aircraft experience.

  • Previous experience supporting large-scale maintenance programs.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with maintenance, engineering, quality, and operational personnel at all levels.

  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations required for maintenance tasks.

  • Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagrammatic, and technical instructions.

  • Proficiency in aircraft flight control systems and associated maintenance procedures.

  • Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position is performed in an active aircraft maintenance environment and may require working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Employees must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and climb for extended periods.

  • Work from ladders, maintenance stands, and elevated platforms.

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Work in aircraft hangars and maintenance facilities.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and precision measuring instruments.

  • Read and interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.

  • Wear required PPE and comply with all FAA, OSHA, customer, and company safety requirements.
