The Field Service Technician II provides on-site support at an aircraft manufacturing facility for aircraft seating interiors manufactured in the USA, France, and Great Britain. The Field Service Technician team assists aircraft manufacturers and airline customers during aircraft production with installation issues, damaged parts, rework pickups, cosmetic defects, and customer support concerns.

Rework areas include Receiving, BFE, Factory, and Flight Line for aircraft equipped with commercial aircraft seating products. All rework performed must adhere to approved engineering drawings, specifications, and rework instructions.

This position works under general supervision and reports to the on-site manager daily. The Field Service Technician II handles moderately complex issues and escalates more advanced technical concerns to senior technicians when appropriate.

• Rework and complete pickups identified by the aircraft manufacturer and/or customer during aircraft assembly.
• Replace and troubleshoot faulty electrical and electronic components, repair damaged parts, adjust misaligned panels and trim pieces, assist the aircraft seat installation team, and perform other assigned technical tasks.
• Maintain a high level of quality workmanship at all times.
• Respond promptly to communications from aircraft manufacturer personnel and customers.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customer personnel and internal team members.
• Follow all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Submit accurate parts requests and understand the required parts ordering processes.
• Safely operate company vehicles while transporting technicians and equipment between work locations.
• Attend daily team meetings and operational briefings.
• Complete all required customer and company training related to flight line operations, safety, and annual compliance requirements.
• Coordinate daily with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Team Leads, Technicians, and other key personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in a related technical field preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of field service experience involving troubleshooting and repairs.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficient using smartphones and tablets for email, photos, and work-related applications.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to obtain a passport.

• Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Follow instructions and complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, after-hours, and weekends as business needs require.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and customer priorities simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel to other aircraft manufacturing facilities and domestic or international customer locations as needed.
• Ability to prepare written communications and operate standard office equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret written communications and technical documents.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience, including testing voltage and continuity.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
