Electronics Assembler - $19/hr HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Job Description

This entry-level Electronics Assembly Technician role supports the final assembly and production of electronic products within a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You will work in departments such as Thru Hole Assembly and Final Assembly, assembling and inspecting circuit boards and small components, following visual work instructions, and using basic hand and power tools. The position requires consistent attention to detail, the ability to stand for most of the shift, and a willingness to learn and be cross-trained across multiple areas.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components and products in the Final Assembly and Thru Hole Assembly departments according to visual aids, work instructions, and production standards.
  • Work with circuit boards and small wires, performing detailed assembly tasks that require steady hands and close attention to detail.
  • Use small hand tools and small power tools, including crimpers and other basic assembly tools, to build and secure components.
  • Perform thru hole assembly on circuit boards, placing and securing components accurately and consistently.
  • Support testing activities in the Test department by running test fixtures and verifying that assembled products function correctly.
  • Carry out detailed visual checks of final products in the Final Assembly area to ensure quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Assist with basic assembly and inspection tasks in the Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) area, including sitting and inspecting products as needed.
  • Operate or support operation of Surface Mount (SMT) equipment such as pick-and-place JUKI SMT machines under guidance, moving between workstations as required.
  • Follow blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation where applicable to complete assembly and testing tasks.
  • Lift up to 35 pounds consistently as required by certain departments and handle materials safely throughout the shift.
  • Stand for the full shift in most departments while maintaining productivity and focus.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Participate in cross-training between Thru Hole Assembly and Final Assembly and support other departments as production needs change.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production issues, quality concerns, or equipment needs.
  • Complete assigned tasks within expected timeframes to support overall production schedules during the contract period.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months of assembly line or manufacturing assembly experience.
  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience, including small part or electronic assembly, is required for some departments.
  • Ability to work with small parts, circuit boards, and small wires with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort using hand tools and power tools, including small hand tools and small power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds consistently, with a minimum requirement to lift up to 20 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand for a full shift in most departments.
  • Capability to follow visual aids, written instructions, and basic technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mechanical assembly processes.
  • Willingness to interview and complete at least a 3-month contract assignment.
  • Reliability in adhering to the set shift schedule from Monday through Friday.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic assembly, including working on circuit boards and electronic components.
  • Familiarity with thru hole assembly processes and building thru hole components on circuit boards.
  • Soldering experience, including basic solder and soldering skills, is highly helpful in some departments.
  • Exposure to or understanding of power electronics and electronic repair is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, production drawings, and schematics.
  • Experience using a tape measure and basic measurement tools in a production environment.
  • Prior experience in electronics, repair, or electrical work, including repair technician experience, is beneficial.
  • Experience with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), Surface Mount Technology (SMT), or pick-and-place machines such as JUKI SMT is an advantage, though not required.
  • Detail-oriented mindset suited for testing, inspection, and quality checks.
  • Openness to coaching and learning new processes, especially for candidates with strong hand and power tool experience.

Most positions require standing for the full shift, though some departments offer seated inspection work. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with every other Friday off. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to established production and quality procedures, providing a structured and organized workplace
