Job description

ZIEHL-ABEGG is looking for a high energy and results-oriented Assembly Technician Line Lead who can be a strong contributor to our heavily expanding company. The Production line lead will oversee manufacturing activities on a specified production line.
Final Assembly Line Lead 1st Shift
Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Control manufacturing activities within a dedicated production line.
  • Evaluation of orders and establishing the means to produce.
  • Ensure all production processes follow work instructions.
  • Training and supervising new assembly technicians.
  • Tag and descriptively label all left over components
  • Tag and inform team lead of scrap.
  • Make sure all tools are maintained and in working order.
  • Guarantee work area is clean and up to 5S standards.
  • Motivate assembly technicians by leading by example.
  • Assess assembly technician strengths and weaknesses.
  • Booking of end products on workers cockpit.
  • Oversees material handler and ensure packaging is correct.
  • Completing the end of shift check list
  • Makes certain daily outputs are obtained.
  • Working directly with continuous improvement on lean manufacturing improvements.
  • Enforce company policies and regulations.
  • Informs team leads of safety risks.
  • Responds to grievances by informing Team lead.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Supervisor experience (beneficial)
  • Communicates effectively
  • Efficient problem solving skills
  • Works well within a team environment
  • Good Technical skillset
  • High familiarization with hand tools.
  • Good oral/written skills
  • General computer skills
  • Actively participate in safety policies, activities and continuous improvement implementations.
