Team & Position Description:
We're hiring a full-time Air Filtration Technician - HVAC to join our expanding service department. The role entails providing filter change-out and cleaning services to customers while supporting operations at our warehouse This position offers a valuable opportunity to guide your earning potential while gaining comprehensive knowledge of an essential necessary industry, and setting the stage for continued growth within our company. Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll actively collaborate with multiple departments as a vital member of the Service Team.
What you'll do day to day:
  • Perform HVAC filter change-out and cleaning services for commercial, industrial, and institutional customers, ensuring optimal filtration system performance.
  • Inspect and maintain assigned vehicles, tools, and inventory to ensure they remain safe, organized, and service-ready at all times.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to confirm adequate inventory levels of service-related materials, equipment, and supplies to support scheduled service tasks.
  • Effectively manage assigned service schedules to meet customer requirements and ensure timely completion of filter change-outs and cleaning services.
  • Verify correct filter types, sizes, and quantities are installed per work orders and customer specifications, and document any deviations or discrepancies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, properly dispose of used filters in accordance with the customer's wishes, and prevent contamination of occupied spaces.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts, and internal service coordinators regarding service completion or issues encountered.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in service delivery, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Accurately complete and maintain service documentation, including filter counts, unit locations, service notes, reports, and work orders, using mobile or paper documentation as required.
  • Complete daily routes and communicate any service exceptions to leadership for direction.
  • Follow company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and best practices for ladder, rooftop, and confined-space work to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and management regarding service updates, challenges and requirements.
  • Maintain a professional and neat appearance during service calls, representing the company positively to customers.
  • Identify opportunities for corrective maintenance or change orders and report them to customer contact and leadership.

Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible for consideration
  • Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed to accommodate operational requirements
  • Demonstrate the capability to work independently with minimal supervision following the completion of training
  • Demonstrates proficiency in reading, writing and effective communication to successfully fulfill job responsibilities and engage with colleagues and customers

Physical Requirements:
  • Comfortable and confident working at heights and utilizing ladders
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds on a daily basis to perform service tasks
  • Ability to lift, climb, bend, reach, twist to access hard-to access mechanicals (e.g. roof hatches, bend beneath pipes, ceiling tiles, ductwork, access with ladder, climbing)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, as 99% of daily duties are performed in outdoor settings
