Job description

Role:

SoFi's Content Strategy team is looking for a part-time Content Strategist to support our Product Education program. This role powers the execution layer for multimedia educational content - supporting brief creation, navigating the compliance process end-to-end, and keeping multiple workstreams organized and moving. You're the kind of person who sees a brief and immediately knows what questions to ask, then gets to work. You write clearly, manage complexity calmly, and never let a compliance submission age in a queue.

This is a role for a strategic executor: someone who can hold both the craft of writing and the rigor of operations at once, and who uses AI tools as a natural extension of their workflow.

What You'll Do:

Writing & Editing Support

  • Take creative and strategic briefs and produce polished content drafts across formats - articles, explainers, email, scripts, social copy, and more
  • Edit and refine content produced by other contributors, applying a consistent brand and editorial voice
  • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate drafting, research, and iteration - and know when to rely on craft over automation
  • Translate complex financial and product concepts into clear, accessible language for a broad consumer audience

Compliance Management

  • Own the compliance process for Product Education content - submitting assets, managing redlines, tracking approvals, and executing required changes
  • Maintain a clear, up-to-date compliance tracker so the team always knows where each asset stands
  • Proactively follow up with compliance stakeholders to keep reviews moving and timelines intact

Project Management & Operations

  • Take notes in cross-functional meetings and distribute clear, actionable recaps
  • Maintain status updates across active workstreams so nothing gets lost in the shuffle
  • Route drafts to the right reviewers at the right time, managing version control and feedback loops
  • Serve as a reliable operational backbone for the Product Education program, keeping projects on track and stakeholders informed

AI-Enabled Workflow

  • Leverage AI tools throughout the content production cycle - from research and outlining to drafting and revision
  • Propose and implement AI-assisted workflows that improve speed and consistency without sacrificing quality
  • Stay current on tools relevant to educational content and compliance-heavy environments

Who You Are:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, editorial, or a related field
  • You are a strong writer and editor who can move from brief to polished draft with minimal hand-holding
  • You are detail-obsessed and calm under the administrative pressure of a compliance-heavy workflow
  • You are a natural project manager: you track things, follow up, and make sure nothing slips
  • You are fluent with AI writing and productivity tools and use them to work smarter, not just faster
  • Experience with financial services, fintech, or regulated content environments is a strong plus
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
