Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery
• Follow production schedules and meet quality standards
• Collaborate with team members to improve production processes
• Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment maintenance
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment
• Assist in training new employees in manufacturing procedures
• Maintains an understanding of the different types of raw materials and the appropriate manufacturing location where they should be utilized
• Check the quality of products
• Examines, measures, and weighs materials or products
• Informs the shift supervisor about product quality problems, equipment problems and safety concerns
• Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed
Skills/Abilities Needed:
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints, preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary
• Ability to troubleshoot and multitask
• Basic mathematic skills
• Team player who is reliable and trustworthy
• Maintains a clean and safe work area
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent; required
• Technical degree or certification, preferred
• Experience with 5s, preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment +1 year, required
• Experience as a machine mechanic, preferred
• Some electrical, preferred
• Overhead crane, preferred
• Quality control experience, preferred
• Forklift experience, required
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
• This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping
• Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment
