Position Overview

The Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems supporting plant production equipment within an aggregate operations environment. This role performs safe electrical isolation up to 4160 VAC and supports plant reliability through preventive maintenance, inspections, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.


What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues involving motors, control systems, VFDs, and production equipment.
  • Perform safe lockout/tagout and electrical isolation procedures up to 4160 VAC.
  • Assist with the installation, startup, and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.
  • Replace, rewire, and repair outdated or malfunctioning electrical components.
  • Support annual MSHA Ground Fault Protection testing activities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance including vibration analysis of motors and infrared inspections of switchgear.
  • Complete assigned area safety audits and associated documentation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair records.
  • Maintain work areas and electrical equipment in a safe and clean condition.
  • Abide by and support all company and plant safety policies, procedures, and MSHA regulations.

What You'll Bring

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and plant equipment.
  • Proficiency using electrical test instruments, high-voltage testers, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to safely perform electrical isolation and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.


Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity with variable frequency drives (VFDs), DC drives, and PLC systems preferred.


Other Qualifications

  • Ability to travel (including overnight) up to one (1) week at a time as business needs require.
