About the Team:
Our global semiconductor support team comprises 30+ engineers and technical marketing experts spread across the globe, providing crucial support to IC manufacturers in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Reporting directly to the Würth Elektronik General Managers in Germany, our team enjoys a high degree of autonomy in shaping its strategy and decision-making processes. Position Summary:
Responsible for running and documenting test sequences on eval boards over line and load operating conditions and documenting comparisons of efficiency performance, ripple voltage and temperature rise performance between different components on a board. This position will require preparation and rework of test boards through substitution of soldered components on evaluation test boards to facilitate comparisons between the component under evaluation and the baseline component minimal variations in the parameters of the other components on the test board.
Key Responsibilities:
• You will run tests to compare the technical performance of components for different electronic applications focused and dc-dc power conversion.
• Preparation of boards for the test sequence by visual confirmation of the assembled test boards to an electrical schematic. Perform physical board modifications if necessary.
• Load and confirm test programs.
Perform electrical tests per test documentation.
Solder rework test boards to compare components.
• Provide feedback to improve test documentation and test programs.
Perform graphical analysis over various test conditions of test results over various test conditions.
• Document test procedure, test conditions and test results and provide necessary comparison of components technical performance.
Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of multimeters, benchtop power suppliers, oscilloscopes, and thermal imagers
• Spreadsheet analysis of test results.
• Solder rework of PCB assemblies.
• Written documentation skills.
Working knowledge of Python, LabVIEW and SCPI protocols is a plus.
