In aggregate testing, common tests include the sieve analysis to determine particle size distribution, the Los Angeles (LA) abrasion test for durability, the specific gravity test to assess density, the water absorption test to measure porosity, and the clay lumps and friable particles test to evaluate cleanliness. These tests help ensure aggregates meet quality standards for construction projects and are often performed by technicians with knowledge of ASTM or AASHTO standards.
