What is an Agentforce?

Agentforce typically refers to a team or network of agents working together within an organization, often in industries like insurance or real estate. Job description

Job Summary:
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, focused on driving customer success through innovation. The role of Solution Engineer involves serving as a technical trusted advisor for Aerospace & Defense and Government System Integrators, architecting solutions that meet compliance requirements and leveraging agentic AI capabilities.
Responsibilities:
• Engage directly with A&D primes and large Federal SIs to understand program goals, mission requirements, and technical constraints—including OT/IT convergence, sustainment operations, and supply chain complexity
• Map customer challenges to the Salesforce platform: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, MuleSoft, Tableau, Agentforce, Data Cloud, and GovCloud+
• Design, build, and deliver compelling, tailored demos and POC solutions for A&D/SI use cases: program management, logistics and sustainment, acquisition lifecycle management, case/investigation management, supply chain visibility, and partner/subcontractor operations
• Architect and prototype Agentforce solutions for A&D environments—including agent design for program workflows, grounding/RAG strategies for controlled technical data, multi-agent orchestration, and production readiness assessment for complex program environments
• Clearly articulate Salesforce's security and compliance posture to technical evaluators, CISOs, and program security officers
• Support RFI/RFP responses by contributing technical content, demo scenarios, and architecture documentation
• Partner with Account Executives, Capture Managers, and Customer Success in a team-selling environment to support pursuit strategy and pipeline development
• Build reusable POC assets, playbooks, and best-practice guides tuned to A&D and Federal SI delivery patterns
• Feed structured Voice of the Customer insights back to Salesforce Product; inform messaging and plays with Product Marketing
Qualifications:
Required:
• 7+ years of experience as a Solution or Sales Engineer for a CRM, enterprise SaaS, or mission IT company—with A&D or Federal SI customers strongly preferred
• Hands-on Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Salesforce Platform builder: able to prototype agentic workflows, automation, and integration patterns from scratch
• Practical AI fluency: working knowledge of LLMs, RAG/grounding, agentic system design, and production behavior—including safety, reliability, and governance considerations relevant to complex A&D program environments
• Deep discovery and MVP scoping: able to run technical and business discovery with both prime program offices and SI delivery teams, define agentic use cases, set measurable success criteria, and produce a feasible architecture and activation plan
• Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks: CMMC given the prime/SI customer base
• Strong written, verbal, and whiteboard communication skills—able to engage C-suite primes executives and hands-on delivery engineers with equal fluency
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, team-selling environment managing multiple complex pursuits simultaneously
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance preferred
• Ability to travel domestically, including to customer sites, military installations, and industry events
Preferred:
• Salesforce certifications: Administrator, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Platform Developer, or Public Sector Solutions
• Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, or equivalent full-stack engineering background; comfort with SQL and/or Python
• Experience with agentic engineering tooling (Cursor, Claude Code, Agentforce Vibes, or similar)
• Familiarity with GovCloud, AWS GovCloud, or Azure Government environments
• Understanding of OT/IT convergence in aerospace manufacturing, defense sustainment, and complex supply chain environments
• Experience with prime-led SI teaming arrangements and subcontract structures
• Background supporting CMMC compliance assessments or C3PAO audit preparation for prime or subcontractor customers
Company:
Salesforce is a cloud-based software company that provides customer relationship management software and applications. Founded in 1999, the company is headquartered in San Francisco, USA, with a team of 10001+ employees. The company is currently Late Stage.
