Job description

Strategic Education, Inc. is a leader in education and workforce solutions, advancing economic mobility through innovative, career-focused learning. Its Education Technology Services include Sophia Learning, offering low-cost, flexible online courses for college credit, and Workforce Edge, a platform that helps employers deliver and manage education benefits to upskill their workforce. This role directly supports and drives initiatives across both Sophia Learning and Workforce Edge.
We are looking for a Blended Scrum Master / Salesforce Administrator to lead Agile delivery for Salesforce initiatives while serving as a subject matter expert in Salesforce configuration, governance, and release management. This role operates with a high level of ownership, guiding Product Owners and cross-functional teams across multiple business units to prioritize work effectively and ensure enhancements are delivered reliably and with measurable impact.
You will support two Agile teams across dual Salesforce instances, driving alignment across engineering teams to enable seamless cross-system capabilities and strategically sequence platform roadmap initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coach Scrum ceremonies; serve as the team authority on Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Define and own maturation of Agile processes to achieve incorporation of AI at all steps w/in SDLC
  • Drive backlog strategy with Product Owners and business stakeholders, leading cross-business-unit prioritization decisions and ensuring alignment between technical capacity and business value.
  • Proactively identify and resolve blockers, independently manage cross-team dependencies, and own delivery metrics reporting to leadership and business partners.
  • Lead release execution (UAT readiness, change coordination, release notes, post-release checks).
  • Own end-to-end Salesforce platform health and drive optimization through expert administration: security/user governance, system configuration, reports/dashboards, and proactive org health monitoring.

Job Skills:
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder influence skills, with the ability to drive alignment across business units without direct authority
  • Proven expertise leading Scrum practices across Salesforce delivery teams, independently coaching sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Proven ability to independently drive backlog strategy with Product Owners and business stakeholders across multiple business units, shaping a prioritized, delivery-ready backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrated success removing delivery impediments, managing cross-team dependencies, and shielding teams from external disruptions to ensure sprint commitments are met.
  • Experience tracking and communicating Agile delivery metrics (velocity trends, sprint predictability, throughput, and blocker aging) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of independently owning release planning and execution across Salesforce teams, including UAT readiness, cutover activities, and post-release validation.
  • Demonstrated expertise administering Service and Sales Cloud, including case management, queues, routing, entitlements, reports and dashboards, lead life-cycle, org health, etc.

Work Experience:
  • 7+ years working w/in Agile project teams
  • 3+ years working as Scrum/project manager
  • 2+ years working as Salesforce Admin

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Certificates, licenses and registrations:
  • Certified Salesforce Admin (required)
  • Scrum Master Certification (preferred)
  • Salesforce Admin II (preferred)
  • Certified Scrum (preferred)
