Job description

Job Description

PCG is seeking a Travel Agent for its corporate PCG Strategic Development 988 department based in Lenexa, KS. This individual will be responsible for the following:

  • Booking and issuing domestic and international airline itineraries, hotel reservations, car reservations, train tickets, travel insurance, other land transportation
  • Process travel requests, sometimes booking 30-40 transactions a day
  • Assist travelers and planners with complex itineraries
  • Provide online and agent assist reservation fulfillment; ticketing, exchanges, refunds and voids
  • Review, negotiate and make recommendations with event contracts as needed
  • Monitor and support corporate travel department email and telephones
  • Maintain traveler profiles 

Salary Range: $51,300-$69,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

Basic Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience working in a customer facing role
  • At least 1 year in a role organizing, booking and planning travel
  • Must have robust customer service skills
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality 
  • Ability to process high-volume requests required
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization effectively
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and re-prioritize throughout the day

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working in the travel industry
  • Proficiency with travel booking systems
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience booking corporate travel
  • Experience with international travel bookings and group travel
  • Experience with Sabre Reservation System
  • Experience with Acendas is preferred
  • Local to the Kansas City area
