Job description

Agency Asset Manager I

The Principal Associate plays a key role responsible for managing all aspects of an assigned portfolio of multifamily agency loans, with primary focus on monitoring risk while providing exceptional customer service. This position will be a member of the Agency Finance Asset Management team, primarily focused on Freddie Mac loans and report into a Senior Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial statements and property operating statements

  • Conduct property inspections

  • Review reserve draws

  • Process lender consent requests, including related review of loan documents and other agreements

  • Manage client relationships, providing excellent customer servicing while enforcing loan document/lender requirements.

  • Perform ongoing risk analysis, ensuring timely risk detection and appropriate monitoring

  • Identify CREFC watchlist triggers and prepare investor comments for assigned portfolio

  • Prepare loan and portfolio level status reports

  • Comply with all Investor monitoring and reporting requirements


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in commercial real estate

  • At least 3 years of GSE experience (Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac) or CMBS experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics

  • At least 3 years of experience with loan asset management

  • Freddie Mac Certified Inspector Status or equivalent inspection experience

  • Highly developed analytical skills including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and financial analyses

  • Proficiency in analyzing property operating statements, rent rolls, and borrower financial statements and in modeling complex financial scenarios

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Mortgage Banker's Association (MBA) Multifamily Property Inspections Certification

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
