Job description

Pro Med Healthcare Services is currently seeking Home Health Aides for PRN to provide support that allows people to age in place safely and comfortably in their homes. Some duties commonly included in aย Home Health Aideย job description include:

  • Performing basic housekeeping chores, such as vacuuming, doing laundry,ย dusting and washing dishes
  • Grocery shopping and preparing meals,ย according to clientsโ€™ preferences and individual dietary needs and restrictions
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as bathing, grooming, dressing,ย toiletingย and feeding
  • Checking patient vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature
  • Providing companionship through conversation and activities
  • Keeping accurate records of services performed, patientsโ€™ health status and hours worked
  • Ability to understand and closely follow instructions from healthcare providers
  • Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
  • Interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients
  • Attentiveness to detail to maintain accurate records
  • Time management skills to complete all assigned tasks during a shift
  • Ability to move and position patients
  • Organizational skills to keep track of records and information for multiple clients
  • Ability to legally and safely operate a motor vehicle, if patient transportation is a duty

Requirements

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Active HHA certification in the state of Florida

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Minimum of 1 yearย experience inย Home Health and 1:1 Patient Care

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience providing one-on-one patient supervision

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Current CPR/BLS certification

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Reliable transportation and valid driverโ€™s license

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to pass background check and drug screening
