Job description

We’re a small, growing property & casualty insurance agency based in the Polaris area of Columbus. We serve primarily Arizona and Ohio customers and value hard work, integrity, and excellent client service. We’re hiring a licensed insurance professional to start at 30 hours/week with the expectation of moving to full-time as the business expands. Hybrid and work-from-home options available.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and respond professionally to customer inquiries
  • Service personal and commercial lines customer needs
  • Monitor delinquent accounts and contact customers to resolve past-due balances
  • Enter new accounts and policy changes into the agency management system accurately
  • Perform account retention and account rounding activities to identify opportunities
  • Prepare and present quotes for new and renewal business
  • Follow up on claims and keep clients informed of status and next steps
  • Manage a small amount of social media marketing for the agency
  • Collaborate with the team and support process improvements

Required qualifications

  • Property & Casualty (P&C) license and Life & Health license (current and in good standing)
  • Preferably 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry
  • Experience servicing both personal lines and commercial lines accounts
  • Strong phone and written communication skills and excellent customer service
  • Detail-oriented with strong data-entry skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and excited to grow with a small agency

Preferred

  • Prior agency experience and familiarity with agency management systems and quoting tools
  • Experience with small-business social media marketing
  • Knowledge of EZLynx and Applied Epic software
