Job description

Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Job Location: El Paso, Texas

DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) manages the flow of goods and information across a customer's global supply chain utilizing air/ocean/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers.  We are part of Deutsche Post DHL, the world's leading logistics provider with operations in over 220 countries. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team. Your efficiency and attention to detail will allow DHL to make businesses work by delivering cargo on time, every time. This may require heavy lifting at times and/or use of a hand-truck. You will also be expected to maintain an electronic record of your activity through the proficient use of a hand-held scanning device. This position will be based at our San Diego, CA location.

Job Summary: The Logistics Coordinator oversees daily communication with customer, carriers and warehouse. As well as; ensures that all aspects of the supply chain are processed timely, documented accurately and communicated accordingly. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Works in conjunction with warehouse team on inventory reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing customers inbound and outbound shipments
  • Prepare shipping documentation and related paperwork
  • Use Small Parcel and LTL Shipping management systems to timely ship parts/packages cost- effectively and accurately
  • Coordinate pick-ups and deliveries with in-house drivers
  • Responsible for billing customers accurately and timely
  • Assist in investigating, evaluating and resolving inventory discrepancies

Skills / Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prior experience in transportation/logistics/warehouse operations preferred
  • Experience with inventory software or other ERP system
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate eWMS (warehouse management system)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational/multitasking skills/attention to detail
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner

Pay Range: $19.11 - $25.48/hr. (Based on Experience)
