Job description

Loader Operator

The Loader Operator is a heavy equipment operator who operates a wheel loader to load and transport material such as dirt, rocks, gravel, sand, and demolition debris. The loader operator is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the equipment, as well as maintaining and servicing the machine. The individual will be responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment daily.

This position does require travel near and around Queen Creek Arizona.

Primary duties include:

  • Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals
  • Assist with setup and tear down of plants
  • Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor
  • General housekeeping of equipment and plant daily or as directed by supervisor
  • Individuals must be able to lift objects weighing 80 lb. on a regular basis
  • The use of a shovel to move material will be necessary
  • Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by M.S.H.A. and company policy
  • Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup
  • Night shift work required
  • Overnight travel required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements include:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Completion of a heavy equipment operator training program is preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Valid commercial driver's license preferred
  • OSHA certification is preferred
  • Must hold an M.S.H.A. 5000-23 certificate
  • Part 48 Mining Certified
  • Able to operate equipment efficiently to maintain project specifications
  • Team player
  • Mechanical knowledge of equipment and being able to perform routine maintenance
  • Night shift work and Travel will be required
