Supervise and support clients through daily program activities such as wake-ups, meals, groups, chores, curfew, and lights out
Observe, document, and escalate behavior, mood, safety concerns, and client self-administration of medication
Support mothers with their children in routines, boundaries, and parenting practices
WHAT THIS JOB IS
Recovery Technicians are the people our clients see most. You are on the floor of a 132-bed residential treatment program for women in recovery — including pregnant and parenting mothers who have their children with them — and you are there for the parts of recovery that do not happen in a therapy office.
The 6am wake-up. The hard afternoon. The 3am panic. The morning someone's kid needs breakfast and their mom is 11 days sober and holding on.
You are not a security guard and you are not a babysitter. You are the steady adult in the building, and this program does not work without you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
NICE TO HAVE
No behavioral health experience? If you have worked direct care anywhere — a nursing home, a hospital, home health, a group home — the skills transfer and we train the rest.
SHIFTS
All openings are available across days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Tell us on your application which you want. We will work with your schedule where we can. This building has to be staffed around the clock, which means there is usually a shift that fits.
WHO WE ARE
Agape Network is a nationally accredited, faith-founded behavioral health system that has served South Florida for 42 years. We started in a trailer, helping one woman at a time. Today we are 200+ staff serving roughly 1,500 clients a month across Miami-Dade and Monroe, and we have been awarded a CCBHC-PDI SAMHSA grant.
Who you would work with: a team of Recovery Technicians and Lead Recovery Technicians, our residential therapists and case managers, a nurse and an on-call APRN, and an Assistant Residential Manager who runs the floor. You are never the only person in the building, and there is always someone to call.
BENEFITS
Health, dental, and vision insurance. Paid time off. Licensure supervision hours. CEU support. 403(b) retirement plan.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply through this posting — it takes about three minutes. A member of our team calls every qualified applicant. If you need any accommodation during the application or interview process, contact our HR team directly and we will arrange it.
