We are a small independent used car dealership seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Finance Professional to provide afternoon coverage and assist customers through the financing process. This position is ideal for someone who has an understanding of automotive lending, credit analysis, and dealership finance operations and can help maximize approvals while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Position Overview

The Automotive Finance Manager will be responsible for reviewing customer credit profiles, structuring finance opportunities, matching customers with appropriate lenders, and assisting with some dealership sales and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate has experience working with dealership finance platforms and maintaining relationships with automotive lenders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze customer credit reports and financial information.
  • Match customers with lenders based on credit profile, income, and vehicle eligibility.
  • Submit and manage finance applications through dealership finance platforms.
  • Communicate directly with banks, credit unions, and automotive finance companies.
  • Follow up on pending approvals, stipulations, and funding requirements.
  • Work closely with sales staff to help convert leads into completed sales.
  • Assist with lead generation and marketing initiatives to drive dealership traffic.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the financing process.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in automotive finance, special finance, F&I, or dealership lending required.
  • Understanding of credit reports, credit scoring, and lending guidelines.
  • Experience working with dealership finance software and lender portals.
  • Familiarity with automotive lenders such as Capital One Auto Finance, Westlake, Credit Acceptance, Santander, CPS, and similar institutions.
  • Ability to identify lender matches based on customer credit profiles.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Sales, marketing, lead generation, or customer acquisition experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of compliance and dealership best practices preferred.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate understands both the financing and sales sides of the automotive business. They know how to read a credit report, identify viable lender options quickly, build relationships with lenders, and help generate additional business opportunities for the dealership.

What We Offer

  • Flexible afternoon schedule.
  • Small-team environment with direct impact on dealership success.
  • Opportunity for performance-based bonuses and growth.
  • Supportive workplace where experience and initiative are valued.
