Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments, exploring patients' histories to craft robust treatment strategies.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment plans focused on supporting trauma recovery and enhancing personal resilience.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective interventions.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage patients to unpack their trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote healing.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, responding with empathy and expertise.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, community resources, and recovery pathways.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with ethical and legal standards, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate tracking of patient progress.
  • Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continued professional development related to trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay informed about current research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the effectiveness of treatment offered.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with individuals impacted by various forms of trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our client demographic is diverse, encompassing various ages, backgrounds, and life experiences. You will play a crucial role in helping them navigate their emotional landscapes and regain a sense of empowerment and control over their lives.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or psychologist in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and a comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
  • Proven experience in providing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, approached with empathy and a non-judgmental attitude.
  • Ability to maintain composure and provide support in high-stress situations.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate harmoniously within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, two or more years of post-licensure experience in trauma-informed therapy settings will enhance your application. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and a history of working with diverse patient populations will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
