Job description

Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Hingham, MA who is currently seeking a 1:1 School Nurse to work with students on a contractual basis.

Details of the Position Include:

Start Date: June 8th, 2026

Duration: June 8th - ongoing through summer and 26/27 school year

Schedule:

-       School Year (6/8-6/18): Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:35 a.m. – 2:50 p.m.; Wednesday: 8:35 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (not including transport which adds an additional 15-30 minutes before and after school)  

-       ESY Program (7/1- 8/6): Monday - Thursday from and the full day for students is 9:00am -2:45pm (not including transport which adds an additional 15-30 minutes before and after school)  

Requirements:

·         MA RN license

·         Pediatric or school-based experience preferred

·         Manage and monitor G-tube feedings and care

·         Monitor for and respond to seizure activity, following care protocols

Description: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a preschool-aged student. This is a specialized position focused on caring for a student with complex medical needs within a school setting. The nurse will also be responsible for accompanying and monitoring the student during transportation to and from school.

Pay: $55/ hour (Full Healthcare Benefits Available!)

The 1:1 School Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the nursing process and delivering individualized student care within the school environment. This role ensures that all services are provided in alignment with physician orders and in accordance with the standards, policies, and philosophy of both the School District and Amergis Healthcare.  

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing  
  • One year of school nursing experience, preferred  
  • Pediatric experience, preferred  
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice  
  • Current CPR if applicable 
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)  
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
