Job description

Middle School ELA & History Teacher
Grades 5-7 | St. Anne Catholic School
St. Anne Catholic School is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled, and dedicated teacher to join our faculty as a 5th-7th Grade English Language Arts and History Teacher.
The ideal candidate is passionate about working with middle school students, committed to academic excellence, and eager to contribute to the Catholic mission and community of St. Anne.
Responsibilities
  • Teach English Language Arts and History to students in grades 5-7.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Foster strong reading, writing, communication, critical-thinking, and research skills.
  • Create a positive, structured, and supportive middle school classroom environment.
  • Incorporate Catholic values and the teachings of the Catholic faith into daily instruction and classroom life.
  • Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
  • Maintain accurate grades and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and school-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school activities, and the life of the St. Anne community.
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic growth of middle school students.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, History, or a related field required.
  • Teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
  • Experience teaching ELA and/or History preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of St. Anne Catholic School.
  • South Carolina certification preferred; candidates working toward certification may also be considered.
