Job description

Girl Buildrs is a growing nonprofit seeking an experienced educator, afterschool program instructor, or teaching artist ready to help shape our programming and empower the next generation of builders.

We’re looking for a creative educator who is passionate about nurturing confidence and creativity in youth ages 5–18 through hands-on STEAM and arts experiences while fostering a supportive and empowering learning environment.

What We’re Looking for:

  • Prior experience in education or youth programs (required)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and proof of Insurance (required)
  • Must pass Live Scan fingerprinting and TB clearance (required)
  • Loves working with children and supporting their growth
  • Able to develop engaging lesson plans and expand existing programming
  • Experience in STEM, arts, or hands-on projects
  • Enjoys working across various mediums and thinking creatively (wood, plywood, cardboard, electronics, etc)
  • Some woodworking experience is ideal but not required (training provided)
  • Ideally open to work between the hours of 11am-6pm

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in setting up prior to workshop
  • Lead and facilitate engaging workshops
  • Implement and expand existing lesson plans and programming
  • Assist in cleaning up
  • Produce brief report after every workshop
