Job description

Manufacturing Laborer
Penn United Technologies, Inc. is hiring for a full-time Manufacturing Laborer to join our Carbide team. This is an excellent ENTRY LEVEL position assisting in the manufacturing process. Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Laborer:
  • Handle carbide components with care
  • Sharp-edge removal of parts
  • Segment stock with hand saw
  • Clean finish ground parts with air nozzle
  • Load and push cart to deliver carbide components and supplies to other teams within the building
  • Transport buckets of material to various teams using a dolly
  • Crush reclaim billets and sift reclaim powder
  • Load, operate and unload sandblaster
  • Scrape clean and repaint graphite plates
  • Assist in shipping with preparing special packaging, packing components, counting and organizing parts and materials
  • Follow work instructions, control and safety plans
  • Follow directions of Team Leader
  • This is primarily a daylight shift position

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to comprehend written procedures
  • High level of concentration and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethics of dependability and responsibility
  • High degree of accuracy, service attitude, commitment to quality
  • Able to work independently and cooperatively with teams
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently throughout the day
