LPN Anesthesia Technician (Varied) Johnson City, TN - 38564

Description

Job Description: Summary: LPN-Anesthesia Technicians are to assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. All duties are performed under the direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider or RN. Assists the anesthesia provider with intra-operative fluid management including volume resuscitation. Possibly operate auto transfusion equipment. Performs inspection and maintenance of the anesthesia gas delivery system. Performs and oversees cleaning, sterilizing, disinfecting, stocking and orders and maintains the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies. The LPN-Anesthesia Technician must have a thorough knowledge of the set-up, operation and anesthesia delivery systems, monitors and ancillary devices. Must possess and understand the anatomy and physiology as it applies to anesthesia care. Must be knowledgeable of all guidelines, policies and safety requirements as determined by relevant regulatory and standard setting O.R. agencies and organizations.

Requirements: High School diploma or GED and a graduate of an accredited LPN program. Two years of anesthesia technician experience or LPN experience strongly preferred.

Licenses and Certifications: Must have an active LPN license BLS
