Job description

Summary of Job Afterschool Supervisor (2026-2027) School Year Verona Rec Afterschool is a program held at the Verona Community Center located at 130 North Franklin Street. This position will be supervising children grades K-5th grade 5 days a week from 2:15-5:30pm. Starting times may be flexible.

A variety of activities from arts and crafts, outdoor activities, quiet time/reading and free play will be planned throughout the school year. Job Duties and Responsibilities Afterschool Supervisor Duties Supervises and ensures the safety of kids grades K-5. Enjoys working with people and kids.

Plans and organizes a program of activities each week. Organizes and participates in various: arts and crafts activities, and games. Encourages the children respect: all facility rules, equipment, buildings, etc.

Encourages and sets a good example in behavior and dress. Discourages and reports (in weekly incident report) all disruptive behavior such as: bullying, gambling, profane language, rowdyism, etc. Encourages participation in any and all activities.

Applies first aid when needed. Fills out accident reports, and if necessary reports to their supervisor. Makes the Community Center safe by following the rules Walking kids from Sugar Creek Elementary School to the Community Center in all weather conditions.

Qualifications Qualifications CPR and First Aid Certification desired Ability to work outside for extended periods of time
